Privacy statement
How VH Painting Services Ltd collects, uses and looks after your personal information, under the Privacy Act 2020. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, the form sends us:
- your name, phone number, email, and address or suburb
- what you'd like done, and any photos you add
- which page you sent it from
If you call or email us, we keep the details you give us so we can follow up.
How we use it
- To reply to you and arrange a time to look at the job
- To prepare your quote and carry out the work
- To invoice you and keep the business records the law requires
We don't sell your details or use them for marketing. We only share them with the services that help us run the business, such as the service that delivers our email and Cloudflare, which protects this website, or when the law requires it.
Photos you send
Photos attached to the quote form are resized and have their location data removed before they're emailed to us. They aren't stored on the website.
Where it's kept and for how long
Quote requests arrive in our email inbox. We keep your details for as long as we need them for your quote, the job and our business records. Records needed for tax are kept for seven years, as Inland Revenue requires.
Cookies and spam protection
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. To stop spam, the quote form is checked by Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as your IP address for security only. The map on the contact page comes from Google Maps: when it loads, Google may set cookies and collect technical details such as your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy.
Reviews
The reviews on this site come from No Cowboys and Google, and show the name each reviewer chose to publish there.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Call Ben on 021 294 5988 or use the quote form. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
